Remedi, Bonitas and Discovery Health Medical Scheme have made changes to their contributions and benefits effective 1 January 2026. Read an overview of the changes and contribution rates.
How to change your option / scheme
Please sign in below if you want to change your option within your current medical scheme or change medical schemes within your employer preferred arrangements effective from 1 January 2026.
Please note that option changes within your current medical scheme will be carried out before the end of the year without any further requirements. However, for all medical scheme changes, please submit your request for the relevant membership application on AskHR. The membership application form must be completed and submitted to your HR / Payroll representative for processing to complete the change.
Employees participating in Remedi are not permitted to join either Discovery Health Medical Scheme or Bonitas, you are however allowed to make plan changes within Remedi itself.
Employees on Discovery Health Medical Scheme and Bonitas who wish to join Remedi effective 1 January 2026 can do so but waiting periods and late joiner penalty fees may apply. Employees who would like to join the Remedi Standard option must nominate a General Practitioner on the network by emailing the details to heinekenhealth@alexforbes.com.
You can make plan changes for 2026, from Monday 17 November 2025 to 5 December 2025.
